My placement at Tradesconnect extended well beyond the mandatory 45-day requirement — spanning two full years of substantive legal and operational work. Tradesconnect is a digital platform connecting tradespeople and businesses, and I worked directly on the legal infrastructure underpinning its operations.
A defining feature of my time at Tradesconnect was the opportunity to work with AI tools as part of day-to-day legal operations. Rather than viewing AI as a future consideration, I experienced first-hand how it is already reshaping the way legal teams work — from accelerating document review to supporting compliance monitoring. This exposure has given me a practical understanding of AI's role in modern legal practice that goes beyond theoretical knowledge.
